American bulldog training should be provided by a breeder or rescues.
This breed is considered the acme of selective work and is often referred to as a piece of breeding art. Actually, purebred dogs suffer greatly from their physical attributes. Because of a short muzzle and very large head, these dogs experience breathing difficulties and cannot bear hot weather. They should spend hot days in the shade or indoors. Large head of a puppy makes labor very difficult. Most females need cesarean section. The breed also suffers from heart, skeleton and skin problems. Nowadays, health issues are the priority for all reputable breeders.

These are intelligent dogs that can take part in a variety of activities and Irondog trials are one of these activities. It tests the dog's ability to protect its family and show its strength and good temperament. To take part in Irondog, a dog should have a protection sport title. The dogs may also be trained to perform in Triathlon/Pentathlon. Owners can choose between such events as Weight Pulling, Sprint Race, Tug of War, Hangtime, Hardest Hitting, and Endurance Test. The dogs that have titles are considered best for breeding. American bulldog training should be provided by a breeder or rescues.
